Prime Minister Calls on Islamic Countries to Take Advantage of Potentials

Doha, December 04 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani has called on Muslim countries to take advantage of their tremendous potentials to serve the development goals. Addressing the inaugural session of the second Conference of the business association in member states of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this morning, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim said "If we had all these huge potentials and did not take advantage of them, then we do not have anything," explaining that the real value lies in our ability to take advantage of what is existing and to direct it towards serving the development goals." He said reading of the economic reality of the OIC member states of the Organization confirms that there is a lot of positive elements which provide for the establishment of a strong and effective economic entity, but the relations and indicators which we see on the ground, confirm that the available resources, that constitute points of strength for the start of economic integration among the Islamic world countries, are in themselves constraints and obstacles facing those trends.
