Flights to Syria 'Fully Operational' Clarifies Qatar Airways

Doha, December 01 (QNA) - Clarifying erroneous reports published by a section of the media, Qatar Airways Thursday said its "scheduled passenger flights to and from Syria are fully operational". Qatar's national carrier today dismissed the reports as "completely unfounded" in a media statement. A section of the media had earlier reported that "Qatar Airways has suspended services to Syria". Qatar Airways has only reduced the frequency from 10 flights a week to seven services each week to and from Damascus due to a reduction in traffic, the carrier said. Passengers holding reservations on the three cancelled flights have been re-booked on the other Damascus services, it said and added that the airline continues to operate flights to both Damascus and Aleppo as per the following schedules:- Doha to Damascus and back daily. Flight QR 436 departs Doha at 1245 hours and arrives Damascus at 1450 hours. Flight QR 437 departs Damascus at 1550 hours and arrives Doha at 1930 hours. Doha to Aleppo flight schedules on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are:- Flight QR430 departs Doha at 1240 hours arrives Aleppo at 1440 hours.
