There are many things Turkey and U.S. can do jointly, says Turkish finmin

WASHINGTON (A.A) - December 1, 2011 - Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Wednesday that there were many things that Turkey and the United States could do jointly. Speaking at the closing gala of the Turkic American Annual Congress, co-hosted by the Turkic American Alliance (TAA) and the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON), Mehmet Simsek said that it was high time for Turkish and American entrepreneurs to look at more closely the opportunities in Turkey, U.S., EU, Central Asia, Balkans, the Middle East and Africa. Turkey is a fast growing economy. With the high technology economy of the U.S., Turkey and the U.S. can work in diverse fields and cooperate in third countries, Simsek stressed. The friendship and alliance between Turkey and the U.S. are very strong. Despite certain criticisms, the friendship that exists between our two countries are strong enough to deal with cyclical ups and downs, Simsek also said.
