INDONESIA GAINS TWO TITLES FROM CHINA MASTERS
Jakarta, Sept 28 (ANTARA) - Indonesia grabbed two titles from the China Masters Super Series tournamnet Sunday from the victory of men's doubles Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan and men's singles Sony Dwi Kuncoro.
Top seeds Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan beat host Sun Junjie and Xu Chen with 21-17, 24-22 in a 31 minutes encounter.
The Olympic gold medalists won without any difficulty in the first game. However, the pair had to secure extra points in the second game.
"In the second game, the Chinese played very good. Next time we meet, we have to be very careful," said Markis Kido commenting on his opponents.
The victories in the China Masters is the third title for the mixed doubles after winning Malaysia Super Series and Beijing Olympics.
After winning the tournament, Indonesia's number one mixed doubles targeted to win All England next year.
In the mean time, fifth seed men's singles Sony Dwi Kuncoro got another title this year Sunday after beating Chinese fourth seed Chen Jin 21-19, 21-18 in the China Masters Super Series.
The title belonged to Kuncoro after finishing a 51 minutes tight-game.
The tournamnet's host also got two titles -- from women's doubles Cheng Shu and Zhao Yunlei and third seed mixed doubles Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawe.
The host mixed doubles got their victory after beating Indonesia's mixed doubles Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir 21-, 21-17.
Women's singles title went to Hong Kong shuttler Zhou Mi after beating Chinese Wang Lin 21-19, 19-21, 21-16 in a more than one hour game.
