Electric ministry refute claims on abolishing contract with Barsiat

SANA'A, Sep. 27 (Saba)- High ranking source in ministry of
electricity refuted news circulated by media outlets on sending
Yemeni delegation for abolishing the contract signed with Iranian
Company Barsiat which is in charge of carrying out the first phase
of Mareb Gas Station Project.

The source clarified that the ministry has sent technical team for
inspecting improvement of transformers the station needs, carrying
with it a letter to Iranian Energy Minister asking him to argue the
company to honor the agreement signed between the Yemeni Ministry of
Electricity and the Iranian company.

Over the time of operating the station, the source indicated that
the program presented by the company shows that the station would be
finished during the next few months.
