Yemen is out of international financial crisis, says CBY's source

SANA'A, Sep. 27 (Saba)- Yemen is far away of international financial
crisis erupted in capitals markets and banks because of collapse of
US companies and banks, said and authorized source in the Central
Bank of Yemen (CBY).

The source clarified in a statement to state-run 26 September weekly
newspaper that the bank has not direct investments in America and
that its investments are distributed on most of European countries
yet avoiding the county's losses.

The source affirmed that the European banks Yemen deals with enjoy
financial solvency and have investment bags as well as they maintain
much about adventure in international markets.

The source mentioned that the commercial banks working in Yemen have
not only excellent currency but also surplus currency wither of
foreign or local ones and that CBY's continuous censorship on these
banks help them avoiding risks of any kinds.

Last week, CBY's Governor Ahmad Assamawi revealed a plan targets
activating performance of banking system via a package of measures
focusing on integration between the banks for facing current
challenges.
