MAMMADYAROV MEETS RICE IN NEW YORK
Baku,27 September,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in New York.
They discussed bilateral political and economic relations and energy cooperation.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh was also discussed during the
talk, and both Mammadyarov and Rice stressed the importance of establishing peace
and stability in the region.
The Azeri FM said the dispute can be solved only in accordance with international
legal norms and based on the principle of his country`s territorial integrity
The US Secretary of State said Azerbaijan plays a key role in the region.
