AZERBAIJANI FM HOLDS MEETINGS IN NEW-YORK

Baku, 27 September,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met, in New-York, USA, with Slovenian President Danilo Turk, Foreign Ministers Taib Fassi Fihri of Morocco, Salah Addin Al-Bashir of Jordan and Ivaylo Kalfin of Bulgaria as well as EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.

The talks focused on regional situation, Turkey-initiated Caucasus Stability and
Cooperation Platform, energy and international security-related issues.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Mr. Mammadyarov
underlined the dispute`s settlement must be based on strict maintenance of
Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
During the meeting European officials stressed the importance of the South Caucasus
region for EU.
Elmar Mammadyarov has also attended a meeting of BSEC foreign ministers.
