First presentation on Izmir takes place in Paris

PARIS (A.A) - The first presentation on the Turkish province of Izmir for the EXPO 2020 took place in French capital of Paris on Wednesday. Turkish Transportation, Maritime and Communications Minister Binali Yildirim delivered the opening remarks at Izmir's presentation held in the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE) of the OECD. Located at Turkey's most western point and a door opening to the world, the province of Izmir, as a cultural, commercial and historic center, has proven itself in many international organizations and deserves to host the EXPO 2020, Yildirim stressed. Izmir is a city that could be reached by 50 countries in only three hours, Yildirim also said. A promotional video presentation was made on Izmir that lasted around 20 minutes.
