PM Erdogan: Turkish nationals over 30 years of age can fulfil paid military service

ANKARA (A.A) - November 22, 2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkish nationals 30 years of age or older would be able to fulfil military service by paying 30,000 Turkish lira. These citizens will pay 30,000 Turkish Lira (TL) and they will also be exempt from 21-day basic military service, said Erdogan who spoke at his Justice & Development (AK) Party group meeting in Ankara on Tuesday.
