Prince Saud participates in meeting of education initiative

New York, Sept 26, SPA -- Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister
and Head of the Saudi delegation to the meetings of the UN's general
assembly, participated here last night in a meeting concerned with
the education initiative, held on the fringes of the UN's general
assembly.

The meeting was attended by British Premier Gordon Brown and other
senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Saud reiterated the Saudi policy as
regards supporting the development work in the developing nations,
and said the Kingdom will not hesitate in contribution to financing
the educational projects in the developing countries so as to make
compulsory primary education available for all children by 2015.
He conveyed to the participants of the meeting the greetings of the
Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
