Turkey and Arab League more influential on Syria than United States, says Secretary Clinton

WASHINGTON (A.A) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday that Turkey and the Arab League were more influential on the government and people of Syria than the United States. Speaking at the American MSNBC TV channel, Clinton said that the situation in Syria may turn into a civil war. I believe that what the Arab League does and Turkey says have more affect on the Syrian government and people than the United States, said Clinton. Asked if the pressure process on Syria should continue under the leadership of the Arab League and Turkey, Clinton replied "yes".
