Royal Blues Prepare for Second Part of the Season in Qatar

Gelsenkirchen, Germany, November 16 (QNA) - The planning stage of the winter training camp 2011/2012 has been finished. FC Schalke 04 will prepare at the Aspire Zone in Qatar from 4 to 12 January 2012 for the second half of the season. Board members Horst Heldt and Alexander Jobst travelled to the Arabian Gulf to see for themselves what the training conditions are like. Horst Heldt rates them as ideal and emphazizes the good climatic conditions. "We will also have two test matches there", says Heldt about further planning. Alexander Jobst, board member with responsibility for marketing, is excited about the possibilites which open up to the Royal Blues at the State of Qatar: We are looking forward to be present in Qatar as the place is trendsetting and important for the future. The Royal Blues will move into the new five star hotel "the TORCH-Doha" near to the highly modern "Aspire Academy for Sports Exellence". Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup in 2022. (QNA)
