Turkish transportation minister says Turkey must be informed on activities offshore Cyprus

LONDON (A.A) - Turkish transportation minister said on Wednesday that Turkey must be informed on all activities conducted offshore Cyprus. Transportation, Maritime and Communication Minister Binali Yildirim attended a meeting of executive board of the World Maritime University and had a meeting with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary General Efthimios Mitropoulos in British capital of London. Speaking to AA correspondent in London, Yildirim said that rights and benefits in seas were common heritage of humanity, and any activities offshore Cyprus must be approved by Turkey. Yildirim is expected to depart from Britain for Turkey after completing his talks.
