Turkey to be guest of honor at an archaeology fair in Italy

ANKARA (A.A) - November 16, 2011 - Turkey will be the guest of honor at a tourism archaeology fair in Italy, the Culture & Tourism Ministry said on Wednesday. A ministry statement said that the 14th Mediterranean Bourse of Archaeological Tourism would take place in the Italian city of Paestum between November 17 and 20. Turkey will be the guest of honor at the fair, during which a conference on discovering Turkey's archaeological heritage will also organized.  Sole exhibition in the world of archaeological heritage and the first international show of virtual technology, the event aims to foster the commercialisation of specific tourism products and in-depth study of issues concerning the protection, use and valorisation of cultural goods and cooperation between populations.
