123,000 foreigners own immovable properties in Turkey

ANKARA (A.A) - November 16, 2011 - A total of 123,000 foreigners own 113,687 immovable properties in Turkey. While having immovable properties, foreigners mostly prefer resort cities such as Antalya, Mugla, Aydin besides Istanbul and Bursa cities, according to figures of Land Registry Directorate General. These immovable properties cover an area of 86.1 million square meters. Southern Antalya city is the favorite of foreigners who want to buy immovable properties. A total of 41,184 foreigners have 32,057 immovable properties in Antalya.  British, German and Greek citizens have the most immovable properties in Turkey. A total of 35,656 British citizens own 25,177 immovable properties, followed by 28,306 Germans with 37,233, and 10,859 Greeks with 9,989 immovable properties.
