YJS welcomes president's decision to release al-Khaiwani
SANA'A, Sep. 26 (Saba)- Yemen Journalists Syndicate YJS welcomed on
Thursday response of president Ali Abdullah Saleh to request of
setting a journalist Abdul-Karim al-Khaiwani free.
In its statement,
the syndicate welcomed the president's decision to release the
journalist.Al-Khaiwani left the Central Prison on Thursday after
President Saleh gave him amnesty and canceled a six-year sentence
issued by a primary court three months ago.
Al-Khaiwani was sentenced to six years in jail in charge of rebels
in Saada.AH
