Economic recovery continues in Turkey, says Central Bank governor

ANKARA (A.A) - November 14, 2011 - Turkish Central Bank's governor said on Monday that economic recovery that had started in Turkey after 2008 global crisis was continuing. Governor Erdem Basci made a presentation in the meeting of Council of Ministers. Basci said inflation rate would begin to reduce again as of the beginning of 2012 as a result of compensatory monetary measures, stating that 5 percent inflation target would be reached at the end of the year. Upward trend in current account deficit was taken under control as of the last quarter of 2011, he said.
