Yassin Majeed demands IS to unveil whether Hashemi, Samarrae, and Alayan "involved in selling MOD post”

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from the State of Law Coalition, Yaseen Majeed, demanded the Iraqiya Slate to unveil whether the former leaders of the Accordance Front, Tariq Al Hashimi, Ayad Al Samarrae, and Khalaf Al Alayan are "involved in selling the Minister of Defense post," according to what was said by the former Prime Minister Deputy, Salam Al Zobae. He told NINA today that "statements made by Zobae reveal a big political scandal in the Accordance Front because Zobae was one of the pillars of the front and he talked in numbers and data that confirm the involvement of some members the Front in selling the MOD post.” He added that the deal confirms the coup mentality of some of the political blocs that wreaked havoc the country during the period of the previous regime, and we still suffer from that in some of the political blocs and influential figures in the political process. Majeed, a close figure to the Prime Minister, demanded the Parliament to host the involved figures, such as Zobae, former Defense Minister Abdul Qader Al Obeidi, and prominent figures in the Accordance Front, at that time such as Tariq Al Hashimi, Ayad Al Samarrai, and Khalaf Al Alayan, and others. He called on the political blocs to pressurize Iraqiya Slate as it is the "heir" of the Accordance Front to reveal the "details of this deal and to boycott such figures and traders who influence the political process decisions through agenda linked to external regional countries." The former Deputy Prime Minister, Salam Al Zobae, accused the Accordance Front of giving up the MOD post in the Maliki’s first government to Abdul Qader Al Obeidi for $10 million. Zobae said in a statement to a satellite channel that the amount was paid by two businessmen from Anbar Province, who live in one of the neighboring countries to the Front, adding that the deal was done with the consent and knowledge of top leaders, without naming any of those leaders. /End/
