Thailand's opposition urges for cooperation to resolve flooding

BANGKOK, November 12 (TNA) - Thailand's main opposition Democrat Party has urged for cooperation between the government and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to resolve the ongoing flooding. Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said that all parties should join forces to quickly end the country's ongoing flooding crisis. Abhisit also urged Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to prioritize assistance for flood victims and called on the government to prove its capability of flood solutions. The opposition leader assessed that flooding in Bangkok would continue for a while, saying that his Democrat Party has provided big vehicles to transport people in some 10 heavily-flooded areas and the service will continue for at least two weeks from 8am to 10pm every day.
