Al-Faqih: US embassy attack resulted in freezing tourist programs

SANA'A, Sep. 25 (Saba)-Resent attack against US embassy in Sana'a
has caused great tourist damages, said Minister of Tourism Nabil
al-Faqih who affirmed abolishing several bookings and freezing
tourist programs.

Stating to state-run 26 September net, al-Faqih said his ministry
would start next October new campaign in European countries
exporting tourists to Yemen for avoiding negative affects of the
terrorist attack that targeted the embassy.

He added that the propagating campaign would particularly cover
Germany, France and Italy and that the ministry would carry out
continuous campaigns for propagating for tourism in Yemen in other
countries.

He noted that the ministry had already carried out successful
international campaigns for increasing Yemen's portion of
international tourism but sorrowfully the recent terrorist attack
has coincided starting the new tourist season.
