New Yemeni round of negotiations with WTO next October

SANA'A, Sep. 25 (Saba)- The government's team in charge of
negotiation with World Trade Organization will hold its meeting next
October.

Minister of Trade and Industry Yahya al-Mutawakel who also heads the
team told 26 september net that there are positive indicators in the
forth round of negotiations with the United States.

He expected that the round would contribute in fulfilling great
portion of requirements of Yemen joining the WTO on level of
amending legislations and laws or getting excellent indicators
wither in report of business environment or in the mutual
negotiations between the main parties toped by the United States and
the European Union.

Yemen has started steps of joining the WTO in 1998 after it has
achieved great success in its program of economic reform it started
in 1995 with support of the World Band and International Monetary
Fund.
