Dutch Cooperation Minister to visits Sana'a late in October
SANA'A, Sep. 25 (Saba) - In response to an invitation from Minister
of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi, the
Dutch Minister of Development Cooperation Bert Koenders is to visit
Sana'a officially during 27 - 29 October.
Well-informed source in the Planning Ministry said that Dutch
Minister would hold talks with Yemeni senior officials on
possibilities of increasing development assistance to Yemen
according to the country's achievements in the economic reform field.
Koenders will pay field visits to a number of governorates to
inspect the Dutch-funded projects in sectors of health, protection
cultural heritage and education. The Dutch minister will hold a
press conference to announce results of its talks with Yemeni
officials, according to the source.
The Dutch annual assistance to Yemen is estimated to be $ 30
million, most of which is allocated for sectors of education,
health, water, good governance and women empowerment.
