Investigation continues into terrorist attack on US embassy
SANA'A, Sep 25 (Saba) - A security source said on Thursday
investigators have reached important information on the last
attack on the US embassy in Sana'a, the mouthpiece of Defense
ministry September 26 reported.
The source noted that a specialized team is currently testing the
DNA of corpses of the attackers to compare the results of these
examinations with available information on antecedent criminals and
detainees over terrorist charges.
The move aims to identify the identities of who carried out the
attack on the US embassy on September 17.
The source affirmed much information have been collected over the
incident either via the embassy's surveillance systems or those
collected by eyewitnesses and security authorities.
Investigations also revealed that the number plates of the two cars,
the perpetrators used to carry out the attack, were false.
On September 17, a double car bomb attack rocked the US embassy in
Sana'a killing 16 people including six of troops guarding the
embassy and four civilians and six attackers.
The civilians included an Indian women and a US citizen from a
Yemeni origin.
