Talabani asserts during reception of credentials of Czech ambassador Iraq’s keenness to expand relations with world countries

Baghdad (NINA) - President Jalal Talabani asserted “Iraq's endeavor to the expansion of fruitful friendship relations with the world countries, as there relations have a positive impact on the overall political process." A statement issued by the Presidency office quoted Talabani as saying, during reception of credentials of the new Czech ambassador to Iraq, Joseph Frabek, "Iraq and the Czech Republic share strong historical relations and we look forward to strengthen them.” He added "the new Iraq became an arena to attract many of the investment companies in the fields of reconstruction, development, reconstruction, and economic recovery." For his part, the ambassador conveyed greetings from the Czech President, Vaclav Klaus, to President Talabani his wishes for Talabani of good health, stressing his country's aspiration to strengthen the frameworks of friendship and strong relations with Iraq at various levels. /End/
