Seoul to sell up to 4.61 tln won in Treasuries next month

SEOUL, Sept. 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korea plans to sell government bonds worth up to 4.61 trillion won (US$3.68 billion) in October, the finance ministry said Thursday.

The ministry said it will sell 1.06 trillion won in three-year Treasuries, 1.65
trillion won in five-year Treasuries, and 800 billion won worth of 10-year
government bonds next month. Additionally, it plans to sell 354 billion won worth
of 20-year state debts.
Around 150 billion won worth of 10-year inflation-linked bonds will also be up
for sale next month, it said.
Meanwhile, the ministry said that it will issue at least 4 trillion won less in
Treasuries than its earlier fourth-quarter target to stabilize bond market
conditions and reflect the nation's current budget status.
The ministry earlier aimed to issue a total of 57 trillion won worth of state
bonds for this year.
