Two Korean tourists killed in bus accident

BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Yonhap) -- Two South Korean tourists were killed and about 30 others were injured in northeastern China on Thursday when their bus overturned, Xinhua News reported.

The bus was carrying 34 Korean tourists and three Chinese when it flipped over on
a highway some 20 kilometers away from the city of Ji'an, Jilin Province, at
around 9 a.m., the report said.
Two Koreans were killed. All other passengers were taken to a hospital and
treated for injuries, Xinhua said, quoting an unnamed border police officer who
joined the rescue work.
"The bus was seriously damaged," he was quoted as saying, "Its roof was gone and
was later found in a roadside ditch. All its windows were smashed."
Police were investigating the cause of the accident, the report said.
