UNDP PRESIDENT COORDINATOR TO VISIT US


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Within celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mongolia's becoming the UN member, a president coordinator of the United Nations development program /UNDP/ Helen Clark will pay an official visit to Mongolia October 18-21.
As planned, Helen Clark will call on S.Batbold PM to exchange views on cooperation and relations between Mongolia and UN, on a document “Development aids sphere from UN to Mongolia in 2012-2016”. Then she will meet Ch.Khurelbaatar, a head of the Cabinet secretariat of government, also S.Bayartsogt, Finance Minister, to talk about implementation of projects, programmes of UNDP in Mongolia, and future goals.
Helen Clark will open an international meeting themed “How to lead extractive industry to human development”. It has been co-organized by the government of Mongolia and UNDP. The gathered are expected to focus on such matters as interrelations of macroeconomics and human development targeted at utilizing natural resources, management improvement, determining leading tendencies in deciding problems, sharing experiences, and receiving aid from donor countries.
H.Clark will be accompanied by a deputy assistant of UN Secretary General of UN, vice president coordinator of UNDP, president of Asia Pacific regional bureau of UNDP Ajei Chhibber.
