GOVT TO WATCH AND MONITOR MEAT DISTRIBUTION

Palu, Sept 25 (ANTARA) - The Government demanded to continue watching meat distribution in traditional markets and meat markets, at least until the day before the Lebaran.
"It's good to have a meat watch a few weeks before the Lebaran, but the watch should continue until the Lebaran," Palu city council member Markus Sattu said here, Thursday.
He said the Palu meat distribution watch should be using a hi-tech device, just like those used in other areas.
"We had a watch team from the farming institution several days ago which made an inspection of Palu traditional markets. But they only looked and touched the meat without hand gloves," he said.
The team relied only on the instinct and experience, and that if water is dripping from the meat, water had been pumped into the meat to look bigger and heavier than it really is.
