BANGKOK, October 13 (TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Transport's Department of Rural Roads reported on Thursday that the country's ongoing flooding crisis, since late July, has damaged more than 758 roads in heavily-inundated areas, mostly in the northern region, costing a state budget of some 5.42 billion baht totally.
The department's Acting Director General Chartchai Tipsunavee said that, as of October 13, 2011, most of the flood-damaged roads, or more than 252, are in the Thai North, followed by more than 241 roads in the central region and more than 221 roads in the Thai Northeast.
