NUMBER OF LIVE BIRTHS INCREASES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first nine months of 2011, 52,273 mothers delivered 52,457 children (live births) that shows an increase by 2,380 mothers or 4.8 percent, and by 2,374 children or 4.7 percent against the same period of previous year.
Meanwhile, infant mortality decreased by 129 or 13.1 percent to 858, and aged 1-5 child mortality went down by 86 or 31.4 percent to 188.
