MONGOLIAN CHESS PLAYERS BECOME AMATEUR WORLD CHAMPIONS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolian young chess players competed successfully in the World Amateur Chess Championships took place from September 30 to October 11 in Antalya, Turkey. The competitions ran among those chess players with FIDE ratings of less than 2,000 points.
A vice-master of sports S.Bilguun won a gold medal in the men's contest with 7.5 points. He was awarded with the FIDE master title and FIDE rating of 2,200 points. Another Mongolian B.Anu became winner of the women's contest. She also was awarded the FIDE master title and 2,050 points.
This year's competitions attracted approximately 70 chess players of 16 countries.
