Qatar Observes World Post Day
Doha, October 09 (QNA) -Qatar observed the World Post Day on Sunday. The World Post Day marks the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union's establishment and is annually held on October 9. The union aimed to create and maintain a structure for the free flow of international mail around the world.
Abdel Rahman Al Uqaili the acting chairman of the General Post Office said that the post movement in the world has kept abreast of the development of technology to meet the increasing demand of billions of individuals and companies in the world.
He said the new technology has also helped improve postal services in Qatar. (QNA)
