President comes back to Sana'a from provincial trip

SANA'A, Sep 24 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned on
Wednesday to Sana'a after inspection visits to several provinces of
the republic.

President Saleh started early this week a local trip included stops
in the provinces of Aden, Taiz, al-Dhale, Hajjah and Lahj during
which he familiarized himself with these provinces people needs.

In al-Dhale president Saleh met with the province leadership and
discussed with them several issues in relation managing the
provincial affairs and progress in implementing development projects
under construction.

President Saleh highlighted gains achieved in the province, saying
it has witnessed big progress in various fields. He affirmed the
importance of boosting security and stability which as he said will
help boost development in the province.

President Saleh expressed confidence that al-Dhale people were and
will remain loyal to the republic, assuring them the government will
give priority to infrastructure projects in the province.

He urged the province leadership, local councils and concerned
authorities to work and a single team to draw plans for necessary
projects.

President Saleh also touched on the governor elections, saying the
elections were considered as an important step to promote the
government efforts aimed at transfer to decentralization.

He touched on the upcoming parliamentary elections, urging people to
vote transparently as their vote rights reserved.
