Preparation to hold meeting with WB senior officials

SANA'A, Sep. 24 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs,
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim
al-Arhabi held talks on Wednesday with the Regional Director of
World Bank (WB) office in Sana'a on the current preparations to hold
the annual meetings of WB and International Monetary Fund in
Washington, in addition to arrangements for holding meeting of the
Yemeni delegation chaired by al-Arhabi with senior WB officials.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed activities of WB project in
Yemen and a number of issues related to bilateral cooperation
between Yemen and the World Bank, particularly WB's effort to treat
global rise in food prices and the preparation of regional strategy
of the World Bank in Yemen during the next four years.

Al-Arhabi praised the contribution of WB to support the development
process in Yemen and promote the government efforts in the reforms
program in Yemen .
