AMBASSADORS PRESENT DIPLOMATIC CREDENTIALS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the President Ts.Elbegdorj received diplomatic credentials from the Ambassadors of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and the State of Palestine. After the granting ceremonies, the State Head met the new Ambassadors and discussed the bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Syria Mr. Khalaf Al-Jarad expressed his satisfaction with becoming ambassador to Mongolia and promised to work with great efforts to keep the bilateral relations at a good level, with studying experience of Mongolia in democracy and attracting foreign investments.
The Belarusian Ambassador Mr. Viktor Pavlovich Burya said he will work in Mongolia with an endeavor to bring the Mongolia-Belarus relations into a new level, and underlined the two countries have an opportunity to develop the cooperation in many spheres such education and cultural fields.
"I intend to exchange mutual representatives and to develop the collaboration in investment sector," stressed Mr. U Tin Oo, the Ambassador of Myanmar. After this, the Palestine's Mr. Ahmed Abbas Makhfuz Ramadan said Palestinians always thank Mongolia for supporting their struggle for the independence, and underlined Palestine appreciated proposals and initiatives of Mongolia at the session of UN General Assembly.
The State Head wished the Ambassadors success at works, and hoped they would widen the bilateral relations and cooperation with the countries. Mongolia established the diplomatic relations with Syria in 1967, with Myanmar--in 1956, with Belarus--in 1992 and with Palestine--in 1979.
