Defence volunteer wounded in ambush attack in Yala
YALA, October 5 (TNA) - A defence volunteer was severely injured in an ambush attack by presumed insurgents in Bannang Sata District, Yala Province on Wednesday.
According to police, the attack took place at around 10 a.m. on a local road in Tano Pute Sub-district. The 27-year-old defence volunteer Abdulloh Muyading was shot by an unknown number of insurgents who were hiding on the roadside as he was riding his motorbike home from his outpost.
He sustained serious injuries to his right cheek and was sent to hospital for treatment.
Police said the violence was launched by presumed insurgents, aiming to stir disturbances in the region. (TNA)
