Turkish president reaffirms Iran's right to nuclear energy

United Nations, New York, Sept 24, IRNA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Tuesday reaffirmed Iran's right to produce nuclear energy for civilian utility.

Addressing the 63rd meeting of the UN General Assembly, president Gul
called for resolving Iran's nuclear dispute in light of IAEA
regulations and Non-Proliferation Treaty provisions.

Referring to the need to establish peace in the Middle East, the
Turkish president said that his country will support any action that
leads to permanent end to the Palestinians' sufferings.

He also said that Turkey will spare no effort to help Syria and Lebanon.
