Airport in Thai north reopens after floods
LAMPANG, October 4 (TNA) - Services at Lampang Airport in northern Thailand resumed operations on Tuesday after floodwater on its runway subsided.
The airport’s acting director, Ubonwan Wutti, said that all inbound and outbound flights have resumed following Monday’s halt.
Ubonwan said an engineering inspection has already been made on the entire 1,800 metre-long airstrip which found all power and piloting systems in good condition.
Flash floods from Doi Phrabaht Mountain submerged the airport's runways on Monday with water measuring as high as one metre. (TNA)
