Bread, utility prices increased in Uzbekistan

The price of a loaf of tin bread, weighing 600 grams, which is most popular among the population, increased by 25 percent up to 500 soms from the previous 400 soms in Uzbekistan starting from October 1.
Prices of other types of bread in Uzbekistan are not regulated.
The last time bread price increased was a year ago. Then the price of a bread loaf was increased by 14 percent up to 400 soms from 350 soms.
The price of natural gas for population increased by 18.3 percent starting from October 1. In particular, if the consumer has got a gas meter, one cubic meter of natural gas costs him 94.5 soms now, as against 75,9 soms before the increase. If the consumer doesn't have a gas meter, 10 cubic meters of gas used for cooking and domestic water heating costs him 1,633.9 soms, as against 1,381.4, and for heating - 757.70 soms (640.6 soms previously).
This is the second increase in gas prices this year. On April 1, natural gas prices rose by almost nine percent.
Also, central heating, hot and cold water prices increased by 6.3 percent in Uzbekistan starting from October 1.
