HH the Emir of Qatar Meets Greece's Premier

Athens, October 01 (QNA) -HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met here this evening with Prime Minister of the Republic of Greece George Papandreou, at the Premiership Headquarters.
During the meeting, they reviewed relations of cooperation between the two countries as well as a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.
HH the Emir and the Greece's Premier before the meeting had witnessed the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between Qatar Holding Company and the European Goldfields Ltd.
HH the Emir praised the strong relations between Qatar and Greece , stressing Qatar's interest in cooperation with Greece in investment and political domains.
HH the Emir, in a joint statement with the Greece's Prime Minister, expressed his optimism that Greece can overcome the economic crisis it has experienced, and voiced hope to increase cooperation with Greece.
For his part, The Prime Minister of Greece welcomed the visit by HH the Emir to Greece. It confirming that it will further contribute to closer ties between the two countries.
The Greece's Premier also gave a briefing about the policy of his government to overcome the economic crisis experienced by his country, which he said returned to mistakes of the past.
He expressed his thanks to HH the Emir of Qatar for the confidence expressed in the Greece economy and its future. Referring to the agreements signed earlier and the agreement signed today between the two countries. (QNA)
