Malaysian ambassador visits Thai deep South
YALA, September 30 (TNA) - New Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand Nazirah Hussain visited the Thai far South on Friday to get first hand information from local people and security officers on violent unrest in the troubled region.
During the visit, the Malaysian top envoy was briefed by Thai authorities at the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC) in Yala Province on the updated security situation and measures taken to tackle the unrest.
The Malaysian ambassador also said that she also discussed with the Thai authorities on the possibility of further cooperation between the two neighbouring countries in halal food and community-based goods businesses. (TNA)
