Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, called for continuation of patriotic stances rejecting sectarianism and fragmenting national unity.

During a meeting with a delegation of the Anbar tribal Sheikhs, prominent figures, and MP from the city, Kamil Al Dulaimi, as well as the Anbar Governor, Maliki hailed the role “played by the tribes and their leaders in defeating terror and destroying sectarianism, especially in containing sedition that the terrorists wanted to ignite through the Nukheeb crime and the recent bombings in the holy city of Karbala.

Maliki added “Iraqis, especially people of Anbar, defeated Qaeda, despite that it built a stronghold base stronger than anywhere else.”

For their part, the tribal Sheikhs hailed Maliki’s role in burying sedition and quickly movement to destroy the terrorists’ schemes.

Maliki also reiterated that he would support any decision adopted by the province in a way that enhances its security and stability
