BIOMALAYSIA 2008 EXPECTS TO CONCLUDE MAJOR BIOTECHNOLOGY ACHIEVEMENTS FOR MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Biotechnology
Corporation (BiotechCorp), expects to conclude major biotechnology achievements
for the country during BioMalaysia 2008.

To be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Oct 7-Oct 9,
BioMalaysia 2008 is projected to attract more than 9,000 trade visitors from
approximately 40 countries with 150 exhibitors.

The theme of the BioMalaysia 2008 is "Strengthening Value Creation in
Biotechnology ".

"Since 2007, BioMalaysia has been known for providing a wealth of
resources and opportunities for local and global biotechnology
participants.

"It is also an event that features significant updates and announcements
for the Malaysian biotechnology industry," said BiotechCorp's chief executive
officer, Iskandar Mizal Mahmood in a statement Wednesday.

For the sixth time, the premier biotechnology event is back with the
best of Malaysian as well as global biotechnology participants.There will be
over 200 local and international exhibitors and 46 biotechnology experts from 30
countries at the event.

An announcement to be made at BioMalaysia 2008 concerns the progress of the
collaboration between BiotechCorp and Nanobiotix S.A of France.

In 2007, BiotechCorp signed a technology transfer and license agreement
with Nanobiotix whereby it acquired an exclusive worldwide license for a
nanotechnology platform.

At BioMalaysia 2008, BiotechCorp will also make other key announcements
including an important public-private sector partnership project and a
significant healthcare biotechnology transaction.
