Three boys rescued from Sydney river

SYDNEY (AAP) - 28 SEPT - Three teenagers have been rescued from a river in southwest Sydney by police officers who jumped in to save them.
Three boys in their early teens were crossing a weir on the Georges River at Liverpool about 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday when one boy fell into the river, police said.
His two friends jumped in to help him but they struggled to stay afloat.
Police were called to help, and two officers jumped in and rescued the boys.
Two of the teenagers were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment. One of the officers sustained a minor cut during the rescue.
