Hashimi, Abdul Mahdi discuss the political crisis and means to find a way out

Baghdad (NINA) – Vice President, Tariq Al Hashimi, discussed with the leader in the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Adel Abdul Mehdi, “the current political crisis and means to find a way out of it.”

A press statement issued by Hashimi’s office today said “during the meeting, the national and regional political status was discussed in addition to the requirements to improve the security and achieve stability.”

Hashimi stressed the necessity that “Abdul Mehdi continues his active role in the political process and his serious contribution with the rest of the parties to look for a solution for many of the challenges that Iraq is still facing up.”
