Thai stocks rebound Tuesday

BANGKOK, September 27 (TNA) - Thai stocks rebounded by 24 points or 2.6% at the opening of Tuesday's trading session following a plunge of over 100 points in the past three working days, according to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).

The SET composite index peaked at 932.35 points, rising 28.29 points, before losing its momentum later in the day. At 10.36 a.m., the SET index stood at 921.68 points, increasing by 17.62 points or 1.95% with a trading value of 8,492.58 million baht.

A security analyst of Ayudhaya Securities Public Company Limited said the SET index rose in accordance with the stock indexes of the United States and Europe which increased by over 2% due to hopes that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU) will successfully work out stimulus measures to quell the European’s debt crisis.
