WIS demands Maliki grants it MOD MOE

Baghdad (NINA) – MP from the White Iraqiya Slate, Zuhair Al Araji, that his slate submitted an official letter to Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, today asking him to grant it the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Electricity.
In a statement to NINA today, Araji said "the WIS demands its electoral right, as it is a political bloc represented in the parliament."
Araji added that the WIS has competent and professional candidates that can run both ministries properly serving the public interest, adding that his slate keeps asking for at least one ministry as its electoral right.
Maliki assigned Sadoun Al Dulaimi, Minister of Culture, as acting minister of defense, a thing that made the Iraqiya Slate object to that since it considers the MOD as its quota. The same thing applies to the ministry of electricity which is still run by Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Shahristani, as acting minister of electricity, after the resignation of the former minister due to signing contracts with Canadian and German companies that turned out later to be incompetent for such projects.
