German Cultural Institute to deepen role in Aden

ADEN, Sep 23 (Saba) - The Aden Local Council Secretary Abdul Karim
Shaef met on Tuesday with the German Cultural Institute director
general Hans Jorge and the institute regional director Micho Cifras.

The meeting dealt with cultural cooperation programs between the
province and the institute and reviewed the ways in which this
cooperation could be promoted through exchanging visits by cultural
missions from both sides as well as holding joint cultural events.

The two German directors briefed Shaef on the goals of the
institute which is deemed a global foundation with 140 braches
worldwide.

They noted their visit to Aden aimed at familiarizing themselves
with cultural landmarks in the country and to activate the role of
the institute and discuss the possibility of teaching the German
language in Aden's primary schools.
