President Saleh pays inspection visit to some provinces

SANA'A, Sep. 23 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned on
Tuesday the capital Sana'a following an inspection visit to a number
of provinces, including Hajjah, Hodeidah, Taiz, Aden, Lahj and
Dhala'a.

In the last place of his tour, President Saleh visited on Tuesday
Dhala'a province, where he was briefed by officials in the province
about the operation of implementing a number of projects in some
districts of the province.

Speaking to members of the local council and executive offices of
Dhala'a, President Saleh congratulated them on the Revolution Days
of 26 September and 14 October, expressing happiness to visit the
province.

President Saleh said that the province had been developing for 18
years, adding "the difference became enormous in both urban
development projects and services that have been being completed in
the province".

"No doubt security and stability help improve atmospheres of
developing and carrying out more service and developmental projects
to advance the standard of living of citizens in the province".

President Saleh pointed out that people in the Dhala'a are keen to
defend the revolution and unity and contribute to reconstructing and
developing the interests of their province away from any exaggerated
storms created by those who have lost their interests in the country.

President Saleh pointed to the experience of electing governors and
its positive results, adding that those elections would enhance
plans to move towards a system of local authority.

"Everybody has to participate in the upcoming elections of
Parliament to be held next year through platforms for gaining the
confidence of voters regardless of the political parties", said
Saleh.

The President ordered the concerned bodies to quickly finalize the
project of a highway linking the two provinces of Dhala'a and Taiz
and establish a residence for the disabled people and a residence
another for orphans in Dhala'a.
